Janie & JP got married at a beautiful ceremony at a home belonging to JP’s aunt and uncle. The home was a perfect setting. It was quite a windy day! Janie’s dress flew during all the photos, and the entire ceremony. Janie did a great job planning the affair. Luckily she works for a florist in Tallahassee, so she was able to design everything she wanted in her florals and they made everything for her & brought it over the morning of the wedding.

Janie was absolutely stunning, and I was thrilled they wanted to do a first look, it really made the day flow really well. They were up for fun at their engagement session at the Doak in Tallahassee, and they allowed my creative juices to flow with some great photos of them before the ceremony. The reception was rocking! Janie has four sister (no brothers) plus a new sister (in law) so all of them along with all their friends made sure the dance floor was never empty. It was quite a time.

Janie worked hard on all her details. And of course her engagement photos were showcased at the reception!

CANDY BAR!!! SWEET!!!

Janie is STUNNING!!!
The wind wouldn’t stop all day, so we went with it.

The family photo with their baby, Lucy. Lucy was so excited that her parents were tying the knot. Unfortunately she was unable to make it to the ceremony.

Again the wind came as Janie was walking down the stairs to the aisle and her dress blew.

This dog owned the house, and was all dressed up in his bow tie. He got out of his bed to inspect the food, it is a difficult job, but someone has to do it.

Flowers: A Country Rose Florist

We had fun a little while ago with Nicole. We started at Nicole & Dan’s home, then moved on to the park. It was so beautiful. The grass might not have been green yet, but all the pretty flowers were showing off & in full bloom. I think that means spring is poking its little head! The rain held off while Dan was at the session, and then we were just the ladies. Nicole is going to be a great mom, only three weeks to go! These two have no clue whether they are having a boy or a girl. I think that is so cool to be surprised, there are so few surprises left especially with pregnancies.

Happy Friday! Next blog entry will go up early next week.

Remember Abby from a year ago? She is on the site somewhere. This lovely little lady turned one years old recently, and her mommy & us planned a fun tu-tu photo shoot. The same day Abby had her TV debut in a commercial. It was a big day! She tried to eat a cupcake, and she was not interested, she was way more interested in her dad’s phone, and she got to wear pearls & a tu-tu, sit in a tree and the one things that made her the happiest was the branch she decided to play with at the end of the shoot. The branch was not coming out of her hands!

Shannon and John’s wedding was so much fun! Every detail was carefully thought out, and the plan was beautifully executed by John Gandy Events. I was on overload on all the eye catching amazingness that the day brought. The day also brought a few firsts! The very first time I touched a pair of Manolo Blahniks (OMG!!!), the first time I watched a belling, and the first time I had to accompany the bride & groom to any type of emergency services.

I had some much fun with Shannon and John at their engagement session, the two were up for ANYTHING, and at the bridal session Shannon was happy, giggly, and so much fun as always (even though it was freezing). Days before the wedding day I spoke to Shannon and she was calm, cool & collected, most brides are anything but those qualities days before their wedding. What was her secret? She knew the overall idea of the day, but she was letting her planner do all the work and as a result was not worried about a thing! Wow, now that sounds like something I would be doing if I were getting married all over again!

So back to the day of firsts for me: I don’t think the shoes need any more explaining, other than the fact that they BEAUTIFUL & COLORFUL!!! The belling was quite an event, let me tell you John knew it was coming. In Shannon’s family it is tradition to put a chain lock, padlock & cow bell on the groom on their wedding day. Then they throw away the key, did you read that? Throw away the key! John fought a good fight, but had NO chance. There were like 20 guys plus five ladies including a grandma ready to “bell” John after dancing with his mother. I learned that John has participated in many bellings, so he was not about to get out of this one, no sir. My last first of the night was accompanying a couple to emergency services, it was to the fire station to have the chain cut off, since as I said earlier: they threw away the key!

A few more shout outs: to the uber talented Darin from Designs by Darin, he did all of the florals for this event. Amazing job! The cake was by delicious, and the design was fabulous as always from Katie’s Cakes, catering was done by celebration by Judi (very yummy food!), DJ kept everyone on the dance floor Mix One, In Tent Events with the rentals & the very beautiful table linens were from Silver Lining Linens, and Jennifer Stowers did an amazing job on all of the ladie’s makeup.

Hope you have fun on your honeymoon in September Shannon & John! thank you for allowing me to be apart of your day.

They actually hired someone to make them a logo for their life, not just the wedding day. This logo was used everywhere including the guest’s drink cups.

SWOON!!!

Ceremony site, what a beautiful day it was.

Shannon realized John had gotten her the same exact card she got him! I think they are perfect for each other just using that one factor.

Look at these tables, the amazing centerpieces paired with the colorful linens

He knew it was coming! this was taken right after they got him before they locked it, he still had a chance. Notice all the buttons on his vest are gone…

As Daryn, Shannon’s sister, “bells” the groom

Can’t deny that Shannon had a good time, here is proof.

As the jaws of life pull John out of his bell lock

John & Cassie were married with close friends and family present at the Southwood House in Tallahassee. It was a beautiful event full of Cassie’s planned details. I have to admit that their after wedding session was HOT, and we are excited to eventually share it. There is a sneak peek at the end of this.

John & Cassie are a very special couple for us. Over the past year (plus some), with planning everything as well as life in general Cassie has become a life long friend. We have had coffee on many occasions discussing her wedding plans, and among other things.

These two are perfect for each other or at least that is what their compatibility test they took prior to the wedding said, they scored 100% and the minister that married them said he had never seen a perfect score on that test! So they are mathematically proven to spend the rest of their lives together. Watching them I know that is true as well. They are goofy, emotional and continuously talking to each other. Here are some favorites from their event:

They had a dessert reception, doesn’t it look yummy?!
