Kristin and Brian met with me in the wee hours at the beach in Seaside. Normally this beach is pretty busy, but we beat the crowds. A panhandle beach sunrise is at the top of my list as far as favorite things, and this shoot reminded me of that.

Kristin and I planned this over a month prior to us meeting in person. Brian is in the military and has been overseas. Kristin has stayed home with her family. They are expecting a baby boy, Britton, in July. Yes, it was a bit early for a maternity session, but Brian was only home for a week and will not be back until right before Britton is born. Then as soon as they can get him a passport Kristin and the baby will be joining Brian overseas. They wanted photos that represented starting their family at the beach. It was so much fun to watch these two, they are so happy and I know Britton will have two very loving parents!

I am going to warn you: This is a long blog entry… I couldn’t decide what to cut out. I initially started to post 46 frames, with a target of 30, and ended up with 36. It’s my business, so I get to make the rules! Heidi did an amazing job planning the details of this event. It was a beautiful rustic garden wedding held at Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville, GA just north of Tallahassee. It was a small, intimate event with around 60 people traveling from all over Georgia. The band, Heart to Heart, rocked the Pebble Hill Tennis Court all night long.

John and Cassie are pretty awesome and a photographer’s dream, because during their after session they were up for ANYTHING! These two are so cute together, and have lots of fun, while at the same time being romantic. Anyone who has seen these two write back and forth on facebook would know I am speaking the truth.

We caught up with these two after the wedding for a fun after session. I always suggest After Sessions!!! These are a great way to have the majority of your bride and groom portraits done in a laid back setting, without the natural stresses of a wedding day. All of our couples that do After Sessions agree that is is FUN, plus we get to hang out for another two hours.

Ashley and Mike will be married in October, and we absolutely cannot wait. Ashley has such awesome ideas for her wedding, and the details are going to be so much fun!

These two met in Pensacola while attending UWF. Ashley saw him through a window while visiting a friend, and he told the group of girls where the party was at… his apartment that night. So the ladies visited him that evening and had fun with him and his friends. Fast forward to present day, and here they are!

Their engagement story was pretty funny, Mike always said he would propose once he found “the boat”. They have owned a few boats in the past few years, but never the one. Well Mike found “the boat” at a pretty good deal, so he decided to show Ashley the brochure. When he brought over the brochure to show her she rolled her eyes. She was studying the brochure and didn’t notice the note written in it asking her to marry him, and when she did she of course said, “YES”.

I’ll see you guys in October if not sooner!

This last weekend we had not one but TWO couples from Atlanta! Both opting to get married on the sandy beaches of Florida. It could not have been more beautiful a day in Cape San Blas. Prior to the wedding day, I met with Renee and Clayton at their recently built beach house and she was worried about mosquitos… she was ready and armed with Off come wedding day but luckily those pests stayed away and made it so pleasant as did the weather! Renee and Clayton chose to have a sunset wedding at 8pm. We had the opportunity to shoot them for almost a whole hour prior to heading back to the house at this awesome beach Renee discovered at the Cape San Blas Lighthouse.

Renee and I headed to the beach for some one on one photo time! (I think she was a little nervous waiting for Clayton!)

She even played in the water a little! We decided what’s a beach wedding without getting a little wet!

They were such a fun and playful couple…
