Archive for June, 2010

So I met Jennifer and Matt several months ago at a Starbucks in Jacksonville for our first consultation. Right off the bat you could tell they were such a special couple. Fast forward to June 19th and Jennifer starts the day off laughing and joking and quickly turns into nervous bride! It was so adorable. She just couldn’t wait to see her Matt for the first time on wedding day. Matt on the other hand was calm cool and collected. The gorgeous lime, black and white details of the reception that followed were flawless!

They had the cutest first look! Both of them cried, luckily Jennifer had enough tissues for both of them.

My favorite! PEONIES! If only they grew all year long…

I found out after this picture that Jennifer doesn’t like cake! I loved her reaction!

Sparkler exit! They had these colorful sparklers that I’d never seen before… it made it smokey but had a cool effect!

Erin and Ryan are devoted Florida Gators. Their wedding colors were… you guessed it, Orange and Blue. These die hard Gators met while living in Texas, they actually met at their local alumni association in Dallas. We met the pair at their engagement session last December. We quickly learned Erin was teaching Ryan how to be fun! Ryan is an engineer, so he is a little more practical, while Erin likes to sing, laugh, and talk. He actually admitted that on the wedding day. We absolutely enjoyed working with this Orange & Blue pair, so enjoy seeing their wedding day!

There was A LOT of laughing throughout the reception

There is a story that goes with this image. The ladies of Erin’s family are known as the Sharks, because when their brother brought home is wife (then girlfriend) he told her he was feeding her to the sharks, aka his sisters. So the Sharks serenaded & danced to initiate Ryan into the family.

Erin loves karaoke, so Ryan started the fun off by singing to Erin

And Erin sang back with some back up dancers

These guys decided it would be funny to sing a little Karaoke to their girlfriends… apparently they lost that loving feeling, and now it’s gone

Because the ceremony was in the afternoon & the festivities were over by the early evening Erin opted to have their portraits done after everyone left

Sarah & Matt had their rehearsal at their ceremony site, Goodwood. It was a rainy day… so we moved it inside. Then the rehearsal dinner was at Matt’s parent’s house. Overall a nice and peaceful day to get ready for the day that followed. We have already posted their wedding day on here, so go check it out!

Laura and Crosby were married at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in front of quite a few friends and family. The ceremony was beautiful and emotional, followed by a fabulously fun party. Their friends really know how to help the party get started. We had the opportunity to meet Laura a few months ago when she contacted us to take some headshots, because she was going to be judging a teen pageant here in Tallahassee. Laura has an amazing job at an awesome store in town, Narcissus, so the pageant people wanted a fashion influence, they asked Laura. We didn’t have the chance to meet Crosby at the time, but we discussed their wedding plans, where they lived, whether or not they were having a full Catholic mass, and how the planning was going. We didn’t discuss how they met, that story was saved for the wedding day. Apparently there are a few stories floating around, all funny & all 90% accurate!

One of the best things about shooting the way we do at weddings is we hear A LOT of stories, I won’t share the best, but all I have to say about it was that it sounds like everyone had fun rehearsal dinner night!
