Heidi’s Rock the Dress session was pure girly & photography fun! Heidi brought along her niece, who attends FSU, on our little expedition to one of our favorite photography spots in Tallahassee. It was so much fun recounting her wedding day and having the freedom to do almost whatever we wanted with her because the dress had already had it’s debut. This wasn’t a full on dress trashing, but there was no need to worry about a little dirt from her surroundings.

There *might* be an after session in the future with this couple & if it works out that the newlyweds are able to make it down here we will be more than ecstatic. Actually I won’t complain if someone gives us a reason to go to Athens, GA in order to do the session in Heidi’s neck of the world! We will see what the future brings. Either way this isn’t the last of the always beautiful Heidi.

Travis, Kristen, Faith, Clayton and I all headed out to Maclay Gardens, fortunately for us the weather cooperated! We were forcasted to get some awful thunderstorms, but the weather held out for us and there was even a breeze! I’ve been to Maclay plenty of times for weddings, but this was our first family shoot at the Gardens. Boy was I amazed at the parts that I had never seen before! It is a photographer’s dream!!
Kristen really isn’t a Fortune yet… actually as of the shoot she and Travis were still dating (they had been dating longer than I had even known my husband). As of the posting of this blog though, Travis asked Kristen to marry him! So not only is she going to be a Fortune she is going to become a Step-Mom to two beautiful children. Congratulations to the both of you!

Travis made a joke… he asked if I had a priest waiting behind the gate to marry them… well the jokes on you! Now you’re engaged!

Clayton kept finding little tiny frogs and Faith wanted in on the action!

Clayton with a frog and Kristen showing her pouty face… she broke her shoe!

Baylen, Parsons, and Emory all joined me up at the Southwood house on a Sunday afternoon.  Emory got a new dress just for the occasion!  Emory isn’t shy (I know, being she lives next door) but as soon as that camera came out shy she became!  So we just let her be herself and so her personality shined through. She ran around, got tickled, played Duck Duck Goose (I love that game!) and she even put on a performance for us!

And now presenting a song and dance by Miss Emory Dahl!

Katie and Brett had a fun wedding. Those groomsmen made sure of it! We got to the Killearn Country Club while Katie was getting her make up done by the fabulous Randi Buchanan. She was trying to stay calm, the room was pretty empty, one of her sisters and her grandfather were the only other two people in the room. While on the other side of the property the boys were getting a crazy. Talk about enjoying the Jagermeister! That was Brett’s way of calming his nerves. It was all about enjoying the day. This wedding was also a first for their priest, Father Will, Katie and Brett were the first couple to go through the engagement program and get married with him.

This pair is going to the Mexican Riviera, and I am a bit jealous! When they get back we have already planned for an After Session. I can’t WAIT!

The boys kept their drinks classy by taking shots out of dixie cups

Katie’s laugh is infectious. Father Will did a good job of keeping the jokes going.

Brett warned me that him & his mother would cry during the mother/son dance, and it was quite emotional.

Katie’s parents dancing to “their song”

Marie and Jacob are just one of those magnetic couples… magnetic to each other and to the friends they have. Marie just has an infectious personality that just makes you smile, she’s just so humble and sweet. Marie and Jacob live in Orlando so Marie’s step-mother did a lot of the work, and boy did she do an amazing job! (I’m sure she had a little help from her friend Missy…) All in all it was a really fun wedding, and lively dancing until the end of the night!
Enjoy the Dominican you two!
The boys started the day with 9 holes… well three of the groomsmen did, the rest had a long night the night before!

Marie LOVES Starbucks, so her bridesmaid’s picked a latte up for her and wrote all over the cup!

Missy Gunnels does it again! Just amazing!

You know how tempting it was to eat this whole table?! By the time I came back from the church, it was all gone!

If it’s good luck to rain on your wedding day… Marie and Jacob are in for the best marriage of all time!

The diamond in Marie’s ring belonged to her mother, it was a gorgeous ring and such a touching way to always have her close to her heart.

Marie’s brother did the homily, it was funny and beautiful!

Marie and Jacob couldn’t keep their hands off each other! I would stop photographing and they’d still be smooching!

Crooked Shooz, they were AWESOME! Definitely keep the party going.

Aren’t these two adorable! Bella (the one to the left) was the flower girl.
